Scorewarrior is a game developer and publisher from Limassol, Cyprus. The company is focused on the 4X strategy genre with an ambitious goal to grow its hit game Total Battle to become the No.1 strategy game in the world. What You’ll Do:

  • Assist the Legal team and DPO in their daily tasks, offering legal advice and support on a wide range of legal areas such as commercial, corporate, data protection, employment, and gaming.

  • Work independently, with team members and other departments on user-related issues, complaints, and DSA matters, providing legal assistance where needed.

  • Draft, review and negotiate complex agreements including marketing and advertising, payment services, data protection, corporate, and game supplier agreements.

  • Research and analyze legislation of various jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in gaming and other markets where the company operates and stay updated on legal developments.

  • Draft, review and negotiate various legal documents including resolutions, employment agreements and rental agreements, NDAs.

  • Handle KYC, AML and data protection matters, advise and collaborate with other departments on KYC and AML requirements and business partner due diligence.

  • Assisting the DPO with GDPR compliance and other privacy legislation in the rest of the world where Scorewarrior Limited operates, and handling data subject requests.

  • Draft, review and update website policies, internal procedures, and legal documentation to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Support the company’s privacy system, including impact assessments and audits, and develop GDPR compliance frameworks.

  • Collaborate with other departments and advise on legal and regulatory matters affecting the company’s products, user interactions, contract issues, players disputes, and policy violations.

  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance by evaluating how the company presents its services to users.

  • Advise on employment law matters and related documentation.

  • Provide IP advice to all departments, register and maintain IP rights, manage trademark rights, handle IP complaints and reports of illegal use of the company’s IP rights, and collaborate with global IP firms and trademark agents.

  • Work independently, with team members and closely with the Support department in handling user-related issues and complaints requiring legal assistance and advice, as well as the handling of DSA cases.

  • Collaborate closely with the Support department to draft and implement efficient procedures for handling cases involving legal matters.

  • Collaborate with authorities on investigations and legal matters.

  • Undertake additional tasks as needed, reporting to the Head of Legal.

Job requirements

  • Law degree with at least 5 years of legal experience at a law firm or as an in-house lawyer..

  • Strong knowledge of commercial, corporate, data protection, Intellectual Property, and employment law.

  • Proficiency in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and complex agreements (e.g., marketing, advertising, payment services, supplier agreements).

  • Strong knowledge of GDPR, CCPA, and global data protection regulations, including handling data subject requests, conducting due diligence, ensuring compliance in cross-border data transfers, drafting privacy policies and DPAs, conducting impact assessments, and advising on data breach obligations.

  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements across jurisdictions, including cross-border legal matters and international business regulations.

  • Experience collaborating across teams and departments to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in developing and implementing efficient legal and compliance procedures across multiple departments.

Required skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret legislation for business applications.

  • Self-motivated and proactive, able to work independently, take direction, and own responsibilities.

  • Strong team player with excellent business and legal judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Well-organized and adaptable, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.

  • Excellent communication skills in English and Greek, with the ability to collaborate across all levels of management.

Great to Have:

  • Prior legal experience in the online-gaming sector or IT industry and proficiency in gaming industry regulations.

  • Awareness of emerging legal issues in digital services, AI, and online platforms.

  • Understanding of the Digital Services Act (DSA) and experience handling related compliance matters.
